Finally Udayan was killed
Udayan has established very strong forts in the forests the three main forts were at Inchippara kotta,Thalapara and Karimala.Inchippara is located after the great holy river azutha on reaching the azutha medu Ayyappa has planned the stategies of attack on Udayans strong held forts along with the Vavar and kochu kadutha and Valiya Kadutha,even today we can visit the temples of these two warriors at the sabarimala shrine and for Vavar there is a nada in front of the shrine.
Puthuserry mundan was the cheif led the Udayans army,Inchippara kotta was in his hold,when Vavar and the Ayyappas army made a surprise attack and killed the puthuserry mundan and his band along with the Thalappaara fort is also conquered.
Now the Udayanas turn has come,Udayan and his men were camping at the karimala forbiden fort .Ayyappa and his army hasd a face to face battle with Udayan and his men were killed. The fort was smashed and the region was liberated .
